Home Handy, LLC sprang from a life-long passion for painting and woodworking. Owner, Becky Alter, started going to small jobs with her engineer father at the age of 5 and began learning how to fix and fashion things in people's homes and small businesses. Over the past 42 years, Becky has honed those skills to develop a wide range of knowledge in painting, electrical, repairs, woodworking, and business management.
Becky grew up in St. Pete, Florida, left for several decades and became a professional musician, owned several successful businesses, and returned to Florida 18 months ago to be closer to her folks.
After moving here, Becky found that many neighbors needed help on small projects across Sarasota. So she decided to start her own company to provide for those needs. She took on so much new business that she now has a network of skilled and reliable Independent Artisan Handypersons to help keep up with the demand. She is happier than she's ever been: working with her hands and with the most amazing clients on the planet.

We cannot bill your insurance as we are Handypersons. However, we can provide you with timely and accurate estimates for submission if needed.
All of our estimates include a detailed scope of the work to be completed. You will receive a written report with a breakdown of the cost and time estimated for your project.
We communicate with you every step of the way. If we experience a delay in a project prior to your scheduled start date, we will reach out to set a new start date. If we can see that we will not have the work completed by the agreed-upon time (delay in materials, changes in project scope, etc), we will reach out to get a new completion date.
